Prior to starting her own law practice, Tracey L. Cohen spent eight years practicing at well-known Florida law firms in the areas of business litigation, intellectual property law and health care law. Ms. Cohen has represented and counseled individuals, small businesses and large institutional clients throughout her legal career. Her practice has included, but has not been limited to, handling the intellectual property portfolios for a large private university, a Florida health-care system, a national luxury fashion brand, a national advertising agency and a large electronics manufacturer, among others. Ms. Cohen also has represented two separate health-care systems in connection with her healthcare practice and has handled numerous litigation and transactional matters on behalf of business owners and corporations.
Ms. Cohen obtained her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.A. in Philosophy, cum laude, from Brandeis University. While at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, she served on the Senior Editorial Staff and the Articles Editing Committee of the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy, was the recipient of a Book Award in Legal Research and Writing and served as a teaching fellow for Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy.
Ms. Cohen is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York and the District of Columbia and has been named a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation by Law and Politics Magazine. A division of Super Lawyers, less than 2.5% of all lawyers in Florida under the age of 40 are recognized as Rising Stars.
